For installation of the pressure line bracket-to-engine nut use a torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in) after placement. Detach the inlet connection of the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector together with the pressure line-to-pump fitting and discard the Teflon® seal. Use a new Teflon® seal for installation and secure the fitting with 73 Nm torque at 54 lb-ft. The power steering system requires filling after performing the installation. The vehicle needs a newly powered system after both safety procedures to prevent injuries are completed if it contains a fire suppression system.
