How to service the thermostat housing on Mercury Grand Marquis?

To service the thermostat housing, disconnection of the fire suppression system and emptying of the cooling system. Disengage the coolant outlet adapter bolts and then remove the O-ring seal and thermostat. Change the O-ring where necessary, and re-power the system and fill the cooling system to have the proper operation.
