How to service the flywheel on Mercury Mariner?

Service of the flywheel requires the vehicle to be in neutral position with the hoist under it. Begin service on the flywheel by removing both manual transmission and clutch before extracting the 6 flywheel securing bolts. Special bolts should be used for flywheel attachment rather than regular hardware. A three-step process should be used to install the flywheel by applying torque in the following order: start with 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) followed by 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) and finish with 112 Nm (83 lb-ft). The flywheel installation process begins after securing the flywheel before reinstalling both the clutch and the manual transaxle.
