How to Service and Repair the Automatic Transmission Filter on Mercury Milan?

In order to service the automatic transmission fluid filter, place the vehicle in neutral, drain the fluid, and refit the drain plug. Take off and wash transaxle fluid pan, place 1.5 mm of sealer, replace pan, then tighten and fill the pan with clean automatic transmission fluid.
