How to service and repair the windshield washer reservoir on Mercury Milan?

In order to service the windshield washer reservoir, lift the vehicle in neutral, remove the fender splash shield, and unconnect the pump. Empty the reservoir, take away filler neck bolt, and the reservoir itself, and screw it up to 7 Nm when refitting. Do not switch on the pump until the reservoir is filled. Refill with fluid afterward.
