Next take off the anchor plate bolts, followed by the brake disc. Wipe off the hub, spread some anti-seize lubricant and reassemble using new bolts with a tightening of 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs).
  • Q: How to service and repair the front brake disc on Mercury Monterey?
A: In order to replace the front brake disc, take off the Brake Caliper bolts and store the assembly. Make a mark on a wheel stud to have a point of reference and then dispose of the brake disc screws. Clean surfaces, smear with anti-seize lubricant and assemble the new or machined disc. Incidentally, reconnect the caliper assembly and tighten the bolts to 185 Nm.
