To service the accelerator cable on the 4.0L SOHC engine, remove the cable by removing it off the rubber plunger and accelerator pedal and then off the throttle body. unlock the bracket by unraveling the cable. Installation requires reversal of removal.

Installation To service the accelerator pedal, undo the screws on the splash shield, unhook the accelerator cable to the throttle body and unhook it to the bracket and the rubber plunger. Take out the cable on the pedal and boot and then draw into the engine compartment. Installation Reverse the process.
