The power steering cooler repair procedure begins only after positioning your vehicle on a hoist in neutral gear. Hose clamp relinquishment will enable cooler hose disconnection from the fluid reservoir. You must first remove the LH front splash shield by unscrewing it along with pin-type retainers and afterwards use pushpins to detach the lower radiator air deflector. Detach the holding brackets of the cooler hoses along with the bracket bolt. Tighten it to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.) when reassembling. When installing the plate nut on the steering line clamp use a torque of 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). The cooler return line gets disconnected from the steering gear by rotating the steering line clamp plate when you discard the O-ring seal. Always use new O-ring seals whenever disconnecting the steering lines because this requires the removal of the power steering cooler. The power steering system completion requires following the reversed removal steps then filling the system.
