The proper way to service the power steering reservoir starts with draining the fluid through an appropriate suction device. You should remove the power steering reservoir bolt before installation and specify to tighten it to 11 Nm torque (8 ft. lbs.). You should first release the clamp on the reservoir-to-pump hose before disconnecting it and then do the same to detach the power steering cooler-to-reservoir hose from its clamp. After disconnecting the power steering reservoir's hoses you must remove it. Perform the installation by following the previous removal steps while filling the power steering system with correct fluid.
