Drain power steering fluid by using an appropriate suction device before beginning the service of the reservoir. The three fluid reservoir bolts need removal before tightening them to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.) upon assembly. First disconnect the reservoir-to-pump hose using its clamp while detaching the hose and afterward remove the power steering fluid cooler-to-reservoir hose by releasing its clamp. The power steering reservoir should be installed by running through the removal steps in reverse while you slowly refill the system with correct fluid. The entire operation must be conducted with care to stop contaminants from accessing the power steering system since this can shorten the life cycle of components.
