How to service the Wiper Linkage on Mercury Sable?

To service wiper motor linkage, park wiper pivot arms at high on glass and disconnect battery ground cable. Then, take out the wiper pivot arm nut covers, the nuts and the wiper pivot arms. Next, remove the cowl top vent panels and then remove the 4 bolts that hold the wiper mounting arm and wiper pivot shaft assembly (disconnect the electrical connector). To install, repeat removal process in reverse, making the appropriate adjustment on the wiper pivot arms.
