How to service the rear window wiper motor on Mercury Sable?

The first step for servicing the rear wiper motor involves taking off the pivot arm of the rear wiper. Start by removing the outer nut cover along with the outer nut from the rear window wiper motor then proceed with removing the outer cover. Draw out a straight motion to unfasten the pin-type retainers before you can take off the inside trim cover. Disassembly of the rear window wiper assembly begins by disconnecting its motor connector and erasing the plastic tie strap before unscrewing the retaining nut and freeing the assembly. The reverse sequence can be used for installation of this system.
