How to Service the Motor and Transmission Mount on Ford F-150? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the transmission mount starts by putting the vehicle into NEUTRAL gear then hoisting it vertically. Before starting the task you should remove any transfer case skid plate. Before you begin install a transmission jack and then remove nuts from the rear transmission support. To remove the bolts that secure the transmission mount it is necessary to elevate the transmission's rear end moderately. After removing all bolts the user can extract the rear transmission mount. Position and bolt in place the rear transmission mount according to the installation order. Lower the transmission to the crossmember before reinstalling the nuts while torquing them to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft). Reinstall the transfer case skid plate if installation is needed.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Motor and Transmission Mount on Lincoln Mark LT? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin the transmission mount servicing and repair work by placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL position on a hoist. The first step involves removing both transfer case skid plate and exhaust hanger bolts when needed. Install a transmission jack before removing rear transmission insulator nuts then proceed with their installation. A slight transmission lift allows the removal of bolts which exposes the rear transmission insulator for extraction. The new transmission insulator needs to be positioned with bolts followed by torquing them to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.). Position the transmission onto the crossmember and fasten the nuts before tightening them to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the exhaust hanger mounting bolts onto the crossmember before securing them with torque at 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Connect the transfer case skid plate only if present and tighten it to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
