The service of left-hand exhaust manifold requires technicians to perform A/C system air discharge and recovery before they can remove the A/C compressor. The service sequence begins with disconnected spark plug wires and their retaining brackets before proceeding with disconnecting the A/C manifold and tube and condenser to evaporator tube from the A/C condenser core. Begin by removing the nut and oil level indicator tube and afterward remove the wheel and tire. First remove the pin type retainers before taking out the wheel well apron then handle the left-hand exhaust manifold studbolts and their nuts. Inspection of both the exhaust manifold and cylinder block surface must occur before cleaning. Running exhaust manifold outlet bolts part of the way down to their holes comes before final tightening operations. Execute the installation by repeating the steps of reverse removal order.

Disconnect the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from both the exhaust manifold and the EGR valve, and then remove the tube.

Lower the vehicle to access the manifold.

Remove the bolts securing the manifold.

Remove the bolts securing the manifold.
