    Service and repair of the F-Super Duty transmission support crossmember requires the vehicle to sit in NEUTRAL while on a hoist. The high-lift transmission jack needs to be suitable for this operation. The service procedure starts with wire harness removal from the crossmember and ending with the transmission mount nuts. LARI crossmember bolts along with their corresponding nuts need removal but maintain constant tension on the indicated bolt and nut during the process. First remove the right-hand (RH) crossmember bracket bolts as well as nuts before taking off the bracket. Remove the LH crossmember bolt and nut as well as the crossmember before proceeding to the RH crossmember bolts and nuts. Place the crossmember against the transmission mount and install its nut with loose tension. Begin the installation with the LH crossmember bolts followed by RH crossmember bolts before adding the bracket along with its bolts while keeping them loose. Secure the RH crossmember bolts first along with finishing the rear insulator nut installation and finally reattach the wire harness at the crossmember rear section.
