Initialize a power seat motor repair operation by taking out the seated component. You should release the retainer and remove the handle in manual recliner SuperCabs. You should start by releasing the lower retainers on the side shield insert before lifting it to break free the upper retainers. Follow these steps to disconnect electrical connectors of the seat control switch along with memory SET switch. The total side shield removal begins with unscrewing front and rear screws before carefully pulling the cushion shield outward to free retainers while reinstalling every retainer to its position on the side shield. Separate the J-clip keeping the backrest cover and unzip the two zippers and route the J-clip through the space between the seat cushion and backrest. The manual adjustable lumbar should be detached from the backrest frame after pinching both lumbar retainers to free the power lumbar assembly and backrest Thermo-Electric Device (TED). The installation of this component mandates that the lumbar arrow should face upward. Disengage the electrical connector of the backrest heater mat while also removing its wire harness. Use the backrest cover and foam pad to expose the power recliner and then unfasten both the torque shaft retainer along with the recline motor bolt. Free the two clips before sliding the sleeve back onto the recliner torque shaft then remove the power recline motor. The torque shaft assembly can be extracted from the recliner before removing the short torque shaft and removing the sleeve from the long shaft to withdraw the torque shaft from the recline motor. Perform the power recline motor removal by disconnecting its electrical connector. The exact removal process needs to be performed during installation and additional movements of the recliner through maximal travel parameters assist the Driver Seat Module to correctly register positions and eliminate early unwanted stops upon completing the repair.
