Temperature Door Actuator

A technician should disconnect the temperature blend door actuator connector to access its service. The four screws need removal to extract the actuator from its position before the temperature blend door actuator can be removed. The installation requires running the reverse steps of the removal process to finish the work.

Service of the A/C electric blend door actuator begins by disconnecting the battery ground cable. Detach the A/C electronic door actuator motor connector while you unscrew the four screws maintaining the actuator motor. Complete removal of these components will allow you to take out the A/C electronic door actuator motor. The actuator motor installation requires following the exact steps of removal to properly reattach it in position.

Begin the service of the temperature blend door actuator by disconnecting its connector. The service process begins by removing the four screws that attach the actuator before you extract the temperature blend door actuator. The installation of the new actuator should be performed by following the steps in reverse order of removal.

The air door actuator motor servicing requires the ground cable for the battery to be disconnected first. The next stage requires removing the instrument panel finish panel. Disconnect the A/C electronic door actuator motor connector and unscrew the four screws which will allow you to remove the motor from its place. The installation process follows the opposite order of removal to finish the assembly.

The first repair step for the main climate control air door actuator/motor involves opening the glove compartment drop by releasing stoppers then lowering it. The connector needs disconnection followed by removing the electronic blend door actuator alongside its bracket assembly using two screws. You need to rotate the blend door actuator together with its bracket to separate it entirely. Install the temperature blend door actuator by following all reverse steps and check that the actuator correctly aligns with the door by hand. Powered electrical signals to the actuator should be avoided because trying to fix the temperature blend door with power automatically engaged may harm the system.

Remove the four screws securing the actuator in place and take out the actuator.

Disconnect the connector and remove the electronic blend door actuator and bracket assembly by taking out the two screws.

Pry it out with a screwdriver.

Remove the access panel by prying it out with a screwdriver.

Remove the bolts securing the instrument panel reinforcement and the bolts for the instrument panel reinforcement bracket.

Begin by releasing the stops and lowering the glove compartment door.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.
