Workers must keep their personal electronic devices including cell phones together with audio equipment outside of the work area. The EVAP system and all fuel-related components require disconnecting the battery ground cable before commencement of any work on those systems. Proceed with the procedure by first eliminating power supply from the battery ground then disconnecting the EVAP canister purge valve's electrical connection. Remove both quick connect couplings from the outlet and inlet of the vapor tube and the EVAP canister purge valve. Balancing the retaining tab allows you to free and extract the EVAP canister purge valve from its fixture. The reverse procedure should be performed to finalize installation. A proper check of system functionality requires running the Evaporative Emission System Leak Test after completion of installation.
