    Q:
How to Service the EGR Valve System Module on Ford Freestyle? Posted by Customer
    A:
The service of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system module begins with four transaxle roll restrictor brace bolt removal before cleaning each bolt with a wire brush and applying new threadlocker onto threads followed by bolt torque to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). The service process begins by cleaning second bolts from the transaxle roll restrictor brace before applying threadlocker to all parts which are subsequently tightened to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft). First detach the vacuum tube with electrical connector from the EGR system module and then remove and tighten the EGR system module-to-EGR system module tube fitting to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). The EGR system module requires a new gasket with its raised ring placed toward the intake manifold before removing the two bolts and installing the module at 25 Nm (17 lb-ft). Throughout the installation process reverse all removal steps in order to finish the work.

    Q:
How to Service the EGR Valve System Module on Ford Five Hundred? Posted by Customer
    A:
The service procedure for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system module starts with removing four transaxle roll restrictor brace bolts followed by wire brush cleaning the bolts before applying new threadlock and tightening them to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). Once you remove the bolt and the transaxle roll restrictor brace you need to clean both parts before applying fresh thread-lock for bolt tightening to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft). Begin service of the EGR system module by separating first the vacuum tube and electrical connector and then the EGR system module-to-EGR system module tube fitting which needs tightening to 40 Nm (30 lb ft) torque. The installation of the EGR system module requires a fresh gasket that has its raised ring position facing the intake manifold before the two securing bolts achieve a torque of 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). To finalize the installation reverse the steps used for removal.
