Right door: loosen cap bolt with T-5 and remove cap. Pull handle rearward to detach and remove gasket if present. Insert handle into reinforcement, push to snap. Reinstall cap/bezel/nut, watershield and trim.
- Q: How to service and repair the front interior door handle on 2008 Ford Taurus X?A: To replace the interior handle of the front door, take off the door trim panel and the bolt in which the handle was attached. unscrew the actuating cable and take off the handle. Re-connect the cable, re-position handle and install the bolt loosely. Make sure the trim is correctly lined up, then screw the bolt back in to 7 Nm.
