    A: Service of the front suspension strut starts with positioning the ignition switch at switch number 1. Untie the wheel knuckle but leave the wheel hub and bearing as well as disc brake dust shield intact. The stabilizer bar link should be disconnected with hand tools to prevent boot or ball joint damage since the first step is to loosen the nut using hex holding while removing the nut for disposal. Separate the brake hose bracket by removing its bolt according to procedure. Subsequently lower the vehicle to reach the strut and spring assembly-to-body nuts. Detach the washer hose retainer when necessary before unwinding the nuts and removing the strut and spring assembly while discarding all nuts. Use a suitable spring compressor to first slightly compress the spring then relieve tension before you can loosen and remove the nut when holding the strut rod. Keep track of the washer location on both sides of the upper mount and seat-bearing assembly since this information will be needed for correct replacement. Remove the cupped washer and upper mount and seat-bearing assembly from the vehicle before examining it for spring insulator cracks or distortions and checking if the bearing operates without impediments. A replacement upper mount together with seat-bearing assembly should be installed before removing the spring along with its dished washer. Reinstall the strut rod lock nut by placing the mount washers with cupped sides pointing toward the mount and seat-bearing assembly but avoid excessive torque to prevent damage. Following spring seat verification the spring should be seated properly in both positions before performing the reverse steps for reinstallation.
