    A: Service of the HVAC accumulator requires users to start by disconnecting the battery ground cable then removing the junction block splash shield. The two starter relay cable ends need removal followed by the dissociation of their junction with the starter relay. Then detach the two bolts which enable relocation of the junction block bracket. The Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure allows for removing refrigerant before continuing with disconnecting the A/C cycling switch electrical connector and the manifold and tube fitting. Start by removing the suction accumulator/drier spring lock coupling from the A/C evaporator core through disconnection from its clamp bolt followed by suction accumulator removal. Disconnect the A/C cycling switch which is mounted on top of the suction accumulator. To install the new suction accumulator/drier simply reverse the uninstallation process while servicing it with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or equivalent product featuring Ford WSH-M1C231-B specification.
