Detach the fittings while you remove the thermostatic expansion valve. Completion of installation requires a reverse sequence to the removal process using PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (equivalent to Motorcraft YN-12-C) or another product that matches Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B for sealing the O-ring and requires adding the proper amount of this oil to the new evaporator core.
