How to service and repair the blower motor on 2001 Mercury Cougar?

In order to service and repair the blower motor, remove the passenger-side footwell upper trim panel by removing the pushpins. Take off the electrical connector. Pull up the securing tab, turn the motor 30 degrees counterclockwise, and take it out. Rebuilding them by doing the same in reverse and making sure that the securing tab is engaged.
