How to service and repair the A/C Hose in the evaporator outlet line of the HVAC system on 2002 Mercury Mountaineer?

A first step for servicing the evaporator outlet line in HVAC systems involves recovering all refrigerant from the system. Before proceeding you must disconnect the air cleaner housing along with the outlet tube and break the bolt connections on the degas bottle to set it apart. Start by removing the nut together with the refrigerant line bracket before moving on to disconnect the bracket holding the evaporator outlet line close to the degas bottle. Unplug the A/C pressure cycling switch electrical connector after which you should remove the nut and disconnect the evaporator outlet line fitting at the suction accumulator.
