    A: Serving and repairing the turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor and output shaft speed (OSS) sensor starts with putting the vehicle into neutral position and raising it on a hoist. Drill out transmission insulator-to-crossmember support nuts prior to installing a suitable high-lift transmission jack which will support the transmission. The next step requires removal of crossmember bolts and subsequent removal of the crossmember. This action enables transmission sensor access at the rear section. Breaking the electrical connection of the affected sensor requires gentle action with attention to keep foreign materials or dirt from contaminating the contact points. Isolate the TSS by removing its bolt followed by the sensor when required. Put the heated oxygen sensor (H02S) connector at a safe location while possibly removing the OSS by detaching its bolt followed by the sensor removal. The installation process should prevent all forms of sensor contamination. You should lubricate the O-ring of the removed OSS before reinstallation using its bolt to secure it into place. Proceed with reattaching the H02S connector while installing the TSS with its lubricated O-ring by securing it with a bolt. One nut should be used to strap down the crossmember transmission mount before raising the transmission to orientate the crossmember bolt openings. Then reconnect the electrical connector to the targeted sensor. Fasten the transmission crossmember bolts then remove the lifted transmission jack while letting the vehicle descend.
