How to service the rear window wiper motor on 2004 Ford Escape?

Start servicing the rear window wiper motor by first lifting the pivot arm into an upright position then sliding out the locking tab while pulling up to take out the pivot arm. The first step consists of removing the rear wiper motor shaft nut cover before extracting the rear wiper motor shaft nut. Use the liftgate opening to access and take away the rear wiper motor plastic cover. The service of rear wiper motor begins by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing both the nut and bolt that secure the motor. Finish the operation by removing the motor. Reattach the assembly according to the steps taken for removal to finish installation.
