The instrument panel cluster opening finish panel assembly needs to be taken off first before servicing or repairing the automatic transmission shifter. First use your suitable tool to unlock the ignition switch lock cylinder at RUN mode by pressing on the tab while pulling it forward from the lower shroud hole. Proceed to take out the upper steering column shroud then detach the transmission range selector lever electrical connector before removing the lever. The replacement of a transmission range selector lever pin should become necessary in each case when removing the original component. The completion of this process requires performing the steps in reverse order to the removal procedure.
