How should a heater core leak be tested and how to remove and install on 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

To check the heater core leak, warm up the vehicle by taking away the A/C evaporator housing and instrument panel. Take away the PCM and its heat sink and then the four nuts on the dash panel. Removed the heater core cover, unscrewed and changed the core and attached a new foam seal back in the reverse order.
