- Q: How to service and repair the A/C Switch in the climate control assembly on 2005 Lincoln Aviator?A: Before servicing the climate control assembly you need to remove the cup holder along with the bezel screw and detach all electrical connectors from the bezel switch. The floor console requires the bezel to be detached partially from its position to extract the floor console center finish panel which users should position aside. The shift control bezel can be detached from the floor console center finish panel by depressing the tab at its back. This allows you to turn the bezel so you can access the lower climate control assembly screw. Start by taking out the instrument panel center cover along with the clock bezel then proceed to eliminate the three screws that fasten the climate control assembly. Both electrical connectors must be disconnected from the climate control assembly before the technicians can remove it from its place. After removing the original components the installation process will finish.
