  A: Service of the auxiliary heater core requires lifting the vehicle onto a hoist while keeping it in NEUTRAL mode then draining engine coolant. The first step involves eliminating the two heater hose clamps along with the removal of the rear quarter trim panel. After removing the two auxiliary line floorpan bracket nuts the technician should extract the line bracket from the interior of the vehicle above the floorpan line bracket location. Remove first the four line bracket screws and then disconnect the auxiliary harness electrical connector by hand. Complete the removal by taking out the two auxiliary housing bolts and the auxiliary housing nut then tighten both components to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) after installation. Disconnect the two electrical connectors on the blend door and remove three screws that secure the actuator unit. Remove the three auxiliary temperature blend door actuator screws and its corresponding component from the system. First disconnect the two heater core hose clamps before you unfasten the heater core cover by removing the four screws. Lastly take off the auxiliary heater core.
