2006 Ford E-250 Antenna Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the radio antenna on 2006 Ford E-250?
A: Service work on the radio antenna requires dismantling the antenna mast from the base then completely taking out the base. The first step requires users to remove the base cap from the antenna then they should unscrew the three screws which secure the base. Completely detach the base after raising it and disconnecting the antenna lead-in cable. The fender splash shield must be removed when you disconnect its mounting screws and pushpin. Push the antenna lead-in cable together with its grommet into the passenger compartment so proceed to remove the instrument panel finish panel and the cowl side trim panel. Remove the audio unit after disconnecting the retainers from both the wiring harness and wiring harness trough of the antenna lead-in cable. You should remove the antenna lead-in cable from the last step. After finishing the setup of the system reverse the steps you applied when uninstalling.
