How to service the thermostat housing on 2006 Ford Freestyle?

To maintain thermostat housing, de-aerate the cooling system, take off air cleaner assembly and disconnection of the coolant hoses. Unscrew the bolts of the thermostat housing and dispose the O-ring. To install, reverse the procedure, apply a fresh O-ring that has been lubricated with a coolant and close the bolts with 10 Nm. Lastly, fill and bleed cooling system.
