Remove the engine coolant overflow reservoir's overflow hoses and seal each outlet port. After disconnecting the electrical connector from the windshield washer reservoir pump you must also detach the air cleaner assembly. Before servicing the windshield washer reservoir and pump as individual units you must disconnect both reserovir outlet bolts and reservoir nuts while tightening them to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) after reinstallation. Remove the windshield washer hose from the washer pump while being careful to avoid injuring the rubber grommet during pump removal from the reservoir. The installation process ends with the reverse steps of removal.
