2006 Lincoln Mark LT A/C Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Hose Compressor Manifold and Tube Assembly on 2006 Lincoln Mark LT?
A: Start the service and repair process of the compressor manifold and tube assembly by recovering all refrigerant present. The first step requires disconnecting the pressure cutoff switch electrical connector before removing the compressor manifold from the A/C compressor by loosening its bolt and removing the manifold. Discard the O-ring seals during this process. The manifold needs to be fastened with 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque when installing it again. Orderly service of the compressor manifold starts by stripping away its tube bracket nut then reassemble and torque it to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Detach the condenser inlet fitting without keeping the O-ring seal before tightening the attachment to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). To remove the suction accumulator outlet fitting you must first remove the nut followed by separating the fitting and then dispose the O-ring seal before retightening to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). The technician should install the compressor manifold and tube assembly according to the removal procedure but use new O-ring seals and add clean PAG oil to the correct amount of refrigerant in the system. Evacuation and leak testing of the refrigeration system will occur before charging.
