The process of servicing FNR5 transmission fluid cooler tubes begins with tube removal from the radiator followed by removal of seven bolts and front splash shield retention. This requires detachment of two screws together with four retainers and removal of four additional bolts. When disconnecting the lower transmission fluid cooler tube from the radiator maintain caution because the hose clamps use special epoxy that could harm the hose if stretched. Fluid cooler tube replacement is necessary in case of any observed damage. You should pull transmission fluid cooler tubes from their retainers while keeping the retainers in place on the shroud and extract each tube and its retainer separately.
