The service process of the left-hand exhaust manifold starts with putting the vehicle into neutral position and hoisting. Start by removing the two exhaust manifold securing nuts but tighten them to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) prior to reinstalling. Following EGR system module tube removal from the exhaust manifold you must torque the component to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.). First disconnect the left-hand exhaust manifold and its gasket by removing the six securing nuts which are to be discarded. The installation of the new left-hand exhaust manifold requires a replacement gasket while the nuts should be tightened to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.) in order to follow the uninstallation method for proper assembly.
