How to service and repair the seat armrest on 2007 Ford Ranger?

You should start the seat armrest service and repair by powering down the supplemental restraint system (SRS) first because its safety belt pretensioner operates through pyrotechnic elements. Separate the 60 percent bench seat and remove the cup holder attachment point by unscrewing the two fixtures and gently sliding it off in an upward-forward direction. The installation requires securing the tether anchor by fastening the material before securing the rear J-clip followed by attaching both J-clips and the under-hook loop strap. Reposition the pin-type retainer and the rear hook and loop strap before mounting the safety belt buckle pretensioner with its nut tightened to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). The wiring harness gets routed back to the cushion while wiring harness retainers along with electrical connector pin-type retainers are fastened and the SRS seat position sensor electrical connector is connected. Insert the two screws which secure the cup holder then tighten them to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) before reinstalling the 60 percent bench seat and activating the SRS system.
