  A: The service and repair process for the exhaust manifold starts with placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL and hoisting it up. First disconnect the ground battery cable and detach the belt which powers accessories. The first step requires draining the cooling system before removing both exhaust flange nuts. Disconnect the upper radiator hose together with the degas bottle coolant hose from the front coolant outlet pipe. First remove the A/C compressor and detach the heater coolant hose from its attachment on the front coolant outlet pipe only when the equipment exists.
