The service requires detachment of the exhaust manifold which leads to the EGR valve tube followed by disconnection of the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector. The exhaust manifold heat shield requires the removal of three bolts before uninstalling the two dual converter Y-pipe to exhaust manifold bolts and all six manifold bolts that need a new gasket which needs disposal.
