2007 Lincoln Navigator Throttle Body Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the throttle body on 2007 Lincoln Navigator?
A: The throttle body repair process starts with disconnection of the ground cable while also removing the air cleaner outlet pipe. The service process begins with removing quick connect couplings from their place and removing the crankcase vent tube. After this step, detach the generator wiring harness retainer from the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-throttle body (TB) adapter. Through bolt removal the air cleaner outlet tube-to-TB adapter can be set aside while removing electronic throttle control and throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connectors. First remove the four vibration damper securing bolts then discard the TB O-ring seal together with the TB assembly. Use a new O-ring seal when installing the TB along with the vibration damper by first tightening bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) then continuing to an additional 90-degree turn. Reconnect both the TP sensor electrical connector along with the electronic throttle control selection. Before installing the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-TB adapter you must apply clean engine coolant to its seal then properly position it and fasten the four bolts at 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The generator wiring harness retainer connect to the air cleaner outlet tube-to-TB adapter before placing the crankcase vent tube and linking the quick connect couplings. To finish the installation process you should place the air cleaner outlet pipe then restore the battery ground connection.
