  A: Encounter of the right exhaust manifold requires disabling the fire suppression system for safety reasons before proceeding. Park the vehicle on the hoist in neutral position before disconnecting the battery ground cable. First rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise while removing the drive belt and disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and A/C compressor electrical connectors. After unbolting the transmission cooler tube bracket you can remove its nut and place both components aside. After you detach the three bolts from the A/C compressor you should set it aside. Immediately discard all connecting nuts between the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold before removing eight nuts and the exhaust manifold together with the gasket. Throw away both the nuts and gasket while keeping the eight exhaust manifold studs. Check the exhaust manifold flatness after you remove the eight exhaust manifold studs and dispose of them. When installing the exhaust manifold studs replace them eight at a time while applying a torque of 12 Nm corresponding to 9 ft. lbs. Fit a new exhaust manifold gasket after which you can install the exhaust manifold before securing it with eight new nuts that need to be tightened in their specified sequence to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Place the catalytic converter flange back into its position and use new nuts which need to be tightened until they reach 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Position the A/C compressor with three bolts at 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) tension followed by installing the transmission cooler tube assembly and its nut to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.). Screw and tighten the transmission cooler tube bracket bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). First connect the electrical wires of the A/C compressor and CKP sensor and next use the drive belt tensioner to install the drive belt by rotating the tensioner clockwise before reconnecting the battery cable ground.
