The first step is to eliminate two upper sway bar link nuts, washers and bushings along with sway bar links then discard the nuts while applying 20 Nm torque (15 lb-ft) to new nuts when reinstalling. Begin by removing the two sway bar bracket bolts as well as the two brackets and the sway bar until installation when new bolts need to be tightened to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). Vehicle owners must depower their fire suppression system before servicing begins and reenable the system once they finish their work. Use fresh fasteners with the identical part number or proper substitutes and follow all torques values when reassembling for secure retention. All rear suspension arms require their fasteners to stay in their original location.
