How to Service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on 2008 Ford F-150?

Service of the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor begins with unclipping the clamp then removing the air cleaner cover from the air cleaner tray. Raise the air cleaner tray from the grommets before removing it. There are two steps for MAF sensor service start with disconnecting its electrical connector followed by removing the electrical connector retainer. The grommet from the air cleaner cover needs removal during which you should slide down the wiring harness to successfully unmount the air cleaner inner cover and MAF sensor. You should pull the air cleaner inner cover while disconnecting MAF sensor wires and remove it with the MAF sensor from the air cleaner cover. To remove the MAF sensor you must commence by taking off its securing bolts. The bolts should be tightened to 10 Nm during installation (89 lb in).
