The service starts by letting go of the clamp then removing the power steering pump supply hose before releasing the clamp from the power steering supply hose attachment to the fluid cooler hose. The power steering hydraulic booster supply hose needs to be disconnected before servicing Hydro-Boost® vehicles. The fuel charge cooler hose must be disconnected from the reservoir when working on 6.4L engine vehicles. The power steering reservoir bolts have a dry adhesive on the threads so they should not be reused and need to be replaced. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order to finish the installation after tightening the new bolts to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.). Fill the power steering system with the designated fluid as the final step.
