How to Service the Power Steering Hose to Steering Gear Pressure Line on 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

You must start service of the hydraulic booster to steering gear pressure line by draining power steering fluid from the reservoir using an appropriate suction apparatus. First remove the fender shield then disconnect the ABS module electrical connector and set it to the side. The operator needs to disconnect the steering gear shield from the line fitting while moving it upward along the lower steering column shaft. F-250/350 vehicle operators need to detach the return hose-to-steering gear fitting by removing its O-ring seal before installing the hardware with 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.) torque. The return hose needs to be unclipped from its position on the retainer clip. After disconnection of the pressure line-to-steering gear fitting you must tighten it to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.) when reattaching it. Unfasten both the pressure line-to-jumper line fitting then secure it again to a tightness of 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
