How to properly maintain the Thermostat Housing on a 4.0L SOHC engine on 2008 Ford Mustang?

To service the thermostat housing on a 4.0L SOHC engine, drain the cooling system, loosen the air cleaner outlet pipe, throttle body and disconnect the hoses and the ECT sensor. Unscrew the thermostat and screw the new housing in 12 Nm and repeat the operation to replenish the cooling system.
