The right-hand pan rail requires removal of heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connectors and retaining clip which needs storage in safe place. Detach the HO2S connector which is located at the front of the transmission pan rail. Before reuse decide whether the transmission fluid pan gasket shows any damage. A sound gasket can stay in service. The following step involves removing the transmission fluid pan together with its gasket before disposing of the transmission fluid filter. The first step for installation involves cleaning both the transmission fluid pan as well as its magnet.
