How to service the rear ABS sensor on 2008 Ford Ranger?

A hoist with neutral position should be used to access the rear ABS sensor. After disconnecting the ABS sensor electrical connector, you should remove its securing bolt followed by removing the sensor. Tighten the bolt which secures the new sensor to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft) torsion. Before installing the ABS sensor, it requires proper plugging of the sensor cavity and complete cleaning of the mounting surface. Check the O-ring seal of the anti-lock brake sensor for damage, then lightly apply specified lubricant before completing the installation by reversing the removal process.
