Start by taking off the wheel components before using a suitable jack to keep the lower arm stable. Secure the wheel spindle/knuckle in position to protect it from damage by preventing tilting before you take out the pinch bolt and nut. Begin servicing the ball joint by discarding both the upper ball joint nut and pinch bolt before removing the ball joint from the wheel spindle and knuckle joint. Proceed to eliminate the two upper arm nuts and flag bolts as well as set shims before extracting the upper arm. Place original set shims properly while leaving the installation nuts lightly tightened. First install the upper arm flag bolts loosely then position the arm before placing the set shims between the flag bolts and attaching the nuts.
