Tighten all voltage regulator screws to a torque value of 3 Nm (27 lb-in) when performing the reinstallation process. A small plastic wire must penetrate the generator brush retaining hole before constructing the generator assembly with the voltage regulator. Before vehicle start-up remove the wire from the generator as its absence will stop generator operation. Perform the reverse actions of removal to finish the installation.
